It followed me home from Working BikesAnother view. This one needs a "a whole lotta love." It will be, I hope, yet another "look at that, that can't possibly work," but it does, build. There are now four Viscount Aerospace bikes in the household. This one is the exact size and color as my first one, way back in about 1978, and even has the same threaded BB. (Completely different fork and components, so, no, there's no chance it's the exact same bike.) Stella This is still all your fault.

Congratulation on the new addition Frank! It actually looks pretty original from what I see. It's the Gran Touring model which came in either yellow or sky blue. The stem shifters and crankset are correct. The RD would be a Suntour VT luxe and the FD would be a Suntour comp-v. Schurmann steel wheels were also prt of the deal. Looks like the half painted fork is no more. I've seen the original "Gran Touring" top tube decals still available on ebay from h.lloyd. The blue one was also my first back in 1976 and is still going strong. How close is your serial # to mine (591520)? viscountandlambert.boards.net/attachment/download/5Cheers, Michael btw, how did the 24 hour ride go?

Nice find! It looks to be more complete than the one I picked up as a free gift... DSC02556 by RMT@261, on Flickr

So far I have had several dogs, 3 airplanes, 12 sports cars and about 30 bikes follow me home. My wife is a peach! I think you have a great find and I like the yellow.
Cheers Jim

Thank you,, all. Jim, your wife is certainly a peach, congratulations. Robert, that was a nice gift, indeed. Not so complete, perhaps, but it looks to have that nifty braze-on stud for mounting lights on the fork. I really like that feature; you don't see it in the US. Michael, thank you for the model name - neither this one nor my first one came with the model decals. That first one, from about 1977 -78, was acquired as a bare frame.
