The Sport held its own in the company of so many youngsters.

Whipett, the thing on the left should have been put down. How can people think that a mass-produced Chinese or Taiwanese carbon frame can ever look better than a proper steel frame? To quote The Kinks, they're all "Dedicated followers of fashion"!!!!!! You picked a great day for a ride.Hope to get out tomorrow, but, alas, not on a Viscount. Cheers, Pete.

I take my hat off to you Kev! Great stuff.
Not sure how much on the left cost, but I know which one I'd pick if you offered a choice

I was in my local bike shop in the morning and when I said I was doing a TT they offered to lend me a Giant aero demonstrator that was £3.2k. Obviously I declined.

Pete, I loved riding the Sport. In fact, it was the bike that everyone else was looking at too.

Well done, Kev! And when it comes to looks, the Viscount wins, hands down. Every time. I must admit that I'm quite partial to a Cinelli, but that bike on the left there, is really rather ugly. I'd pick the Sport over it. Obviously.

Kevin, great to see you challenge the prevailing wisdom regarding TT races. You obviously had a great time on a bike that looks like a great fit based on the warmup picture and opened up some eyes in doing so. If you've got the motor, you don't need a tricked out, high price bike to compete. It's ultimately all about fun, comfort and being a participant. Great job.
