That elusive supabike. I saw Ray, Ray did not see the bike. I missed Jem who also did not see the bike. But it does exist and finished Eroica Britannia. I did have a couple of problems, snapped the chain and whacked my shin of the flailing pedal then I had a couple of overshifts with the chain dropping between the freewheel and hub. later traced to the limit screw making its break for freedom. Other than that a great ride was had even with the 20% + climbs some I admit to having to abandon ship and walk up. Not so clean now She BITES But what a Handsome bike it is.

That is a handsome bike indeed! It looks great with the white dust off those paths on it . Did the chain break on an uphill? Ouch. Sorry I didn't get to see it, and you, in person.
I spent most of Saturday morning messing about getting a gas refill, then was with family on Saturday afternoon as it was eldest son's birthday, so they all came over and we had a mini party with cake etc. By the time I finished the ride we had to make off as the compound where I keep my camper van, locks up at 7pm.
As for the ride,I don't admitting I was off and pushing on many occasions as those were unlike any hills I have ever ridden around here. Sprockit was the only man on the 55 mile route who did nearer 65 miles as he circled back down hills looking to see if I had fallen off or was just pushing my bike. The Legs of Steel Award must go to him!
The scenery was just amazing and the weather couldn't have been much better. I got sunburn on my arms though. I was prepared for most weather but didn't think about suncream.
Now I have 'warmed up', I am looking forward to DFR3

I will not be at DFR3 as have to take the wife to see Robert Plant in some Forrest in Gloucestershire. She goes in for major surgery a couple of days later too.
So I wish you all a great time and hope to ride with you all soon.
