Still not heard from Steve, but yes 28th sounds good. Fancy announcing on the CTC thread Jem? I'd probably just like to see if Steve can make that date before it goes out on CTC. I've mailed him and hopefully he'll let me know.

I am SO excited!
Might buy my g/f a Viscount in an attempt to get her to join in - she doesn't seem sold on the idea of riding the Baby V!

28th sounds good to me. Is there any way to get notifications on this forum? You mean, notifications when people reply to a thread you posted in, or a reply to a PM? I think both of these will be in your own settings page, but will check it out now. I certainly get an email notification for replies and pm's

Spoke to Steve this morning, 28th June is fine with him. Great news! I'll put a post over on CTC for Viscount lovers/owners to keep the date free. We can chat over the venue for a while yet I guess...

I'll be fine. Got a bit of time to train for some hills. Will be riding in the park around the corner, which has some steep (for me) hills. I will NOT be left behind on the ride. Nope.

I honestly only put this forum up to see how difficult it was to make a forum (the answer to that is , it takes 2 mins to set one up and give it a name, even for a dummy)

28th sounds good to me. Is there any way to get notifications on this forum? Lewis, Stuff only flags up when you're logged in. Log in, click on Profiles, then on Notifications, then tick whichever boxes suit you. I now get notifications whenever a thread I've participated in is updated, and also whenever I get a private message. These, however, only flag up on the forum when you're logged in, so if you don't set the notifications and then read the threads without logging in - like I've been doing for weeks - you won't see that there are any messages until you do log in! It's great to have something to look forward to! I'm happy we have a date, and regardless of numbers or weather, or whatever else is going on, I know that's going to be a good weekend. Which reminds me - there's a bike jumble in Lichfield this coming Saturday...anyone here going? I love bike jumbles! EDIT - any overseas Viscount/Lambert owners interested in attending then feel free to drop me a line for accommodation (in a box room, in a small house ) Wherever it is held, I think I'll be camping in tent or taking the camper van for the Friday and possibly Saturday night

And here was I, thinking we're having a bromance under way ... Thanks for your wonderfully witty comment Stella. Funny how you can go off someone before you even meet them I'm only really replying because I saw this topic folder was 'on fire' and wondered what would happen if there are more posts on it (rather childish I know)

You're more than welcome to the beer, as for owt else,I'm just a bit set in my ways. Two weddings, two divorces,a couple of relationships, But still my bikes are true to me! I'm mostly true to them ,but do have the occasional flirtation with other brands, recumbents, and other forms of transport appealing to the older gent! Cheers, Pete.

Funny how you can go off someone before you even meet them I aim to please. :-) Have you forgiven me about my comment on CTC? For a moment there, I thought you were dead serious, but then thought: no, he possibly cannot.

Does anyone have a list of the attendees of DFR1? Ideally with their CTC forum names. I think it would be a good idea to PM them as itself so easy to miss the DFR2 announcement on the CTC mega thread.

I remember now - he was from somewhere between Derby and Sheffield in Derbyshire (somewhere near Chesterfield?) I just loved the colour of his Sport. I told him if he ever got bored of it to let me know as I'd love to buy it. Scott, if you are reading this, be sure to come along to DFR2
