Well, there were quite a few entries for most adorable photo from DFR2. I declare the winner here (albeit, with a family interest). Only 3 kittens poking out of a saddle bag can trump a baby on a bike when it comes to photo's on the internet. Watch out Lewis, he's got his eye on this bike!

That's just really sweet. As is the bike itself.
Pete, you went around the corner at quite a speed it seems.

Found this video of Viscounts charging up a hill ( obviously on the way to the pub )

Incline! You should have filmed the last, hefty incline. Not so cheeky then, me. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Well Chaps and Chapesses,
I've now managed to edit several video clips into a five minute epic!
Thank you to Bendo and Stella for their advice. Whilst ducking and diving I found I already had a suitable Google account, so have posted the film on YouTube.
I must apologise for the shaky nature of the footage - I was riding one-handed with the camera in the other!
Some notes:
The first scene stars Cusqueno and Stella, and we see Raymondo between them in the distance.
Next, we're riding along with rmw (in Scotland attire), Velocipete (in shorts), and Rod (in full waterproofs), and catch a distant glimpse of Busaste (in orange) riding alongside Sooper8.
In the third scene, Velocipete, in the presence of a lady, drops his, er, chain!
Lastly, having done the 'riding off into the distance' shot, I had to catch up, hence the clear road ahead. The figure waiting for me is Rod - he's not a contributor to either this or the CTC thread, but hears about DFR from a friend and then e-mails Busaste for details. He attended DFR last year, and I've invited him to join us on here. He's another who's acquired another Viscount bike since last year!
Triitout, Bendo - join us at DFR2:
Regards,
Sprockit

Great stuff! I don't mind shaky video, I'm a master at it. Is there any more video lurking about ?
Although I would certainly be worried about my iphone popping out of my hand going down that dip at 4.00mins. As you know this is my local riding area and as a kid my old uncle (who taught me to ride, how to mend a puncture etc) used to call that hill that faces you down that slope at 4.00mins, the 'disappearing hill'. It looks pretty steep as you look at it from the the crest of the descent facing it, but the combination of downward speed, slightly odd landscape with deceptive horizon makes it almost nothing of a hill at all. But you can easily hit 30mph in the dip without trying and it's a bit bumpy.
There is also a slope not far from our pub stop that looks to be uphill or level and is in fact slightly downhill. Quite bizarre and disorientating.

While watching I was just thinking: Bloody hell! How is he able to keep this up? You went faster and faster ... Knowing that you were at the pub and back at the camp with us, I know you didn't come off the bike, but anyone watching this without knowing would wait for something to happen. Respect! I think it's fair to say that anyone filming risked their lives (Kev worried about being run over by a car)for the aptly named DEATH fork rally. I'm glad, though, that everyone survived as I'm looking forward to meeting everyone next year. :-)

That is such a great shot Kev! It really sums up the feel of the day. That could be hung in a frame and not look at all shabby on my living room wall.
By the way, I still have an incredibly weird sensation when watching that video of yours that you took round the backstreets at DFR2. The reason for this is that I live still (and did back than) literally 2 mins from those streets and often used to cycle around there as a kid, visiting friends or just whiling away summer holidays on the relative quietness of those back streets. By the time I was 15 I was riding my Viscount down there on trips to see girlfriends, nipping to the chip shop and going to school.
Therefore it seems quite bizarre to me to see 20 odd Viscounts on those same streets 30+ years later, so close to my house. I could never have predicted that. If someone had told me , I'd have laughed in their face. Out of all my friends at the time in the late '70's early 80's, only one other had a Viscount and most people didn't know what they were. They had Raleigh's and other semi-exotic makes. So to see all this love for the Viscount really makes me proud to be part of that dedicated bunch.

Here's a nice picture that Google decided to enhance. Love it! Totally agree with Jem; it looks like a shot capturing the ride in general, and it also shows that Viscounts still have it. :-)

Just thought I'd post this photo taken by Scott during the DFR2 ride. For no other reason that it's a great shot and reminds me of a great ride! DSCN0543 by latisana24, on Flickr

Fond memories. Have we set a date yet for the DFR3 or the 2.5? Not sure, though I can come to the latter. :-( I need to hand in holiday requests ...
