Here is a quick guide to adding pictures to your post. Note- this forum has an imposed limit of 1mg per photo and 3 photo's per post if you upload them from your computer to the forum. The reason for this is cost. The forum is free but has limits on it's functions. Maybe sometime in the future the advertising could pay for the forum and allow bigger photos to be stored on here. This limit does not apply if you host the photo's elsewhere and then insert the link into the post (which will show the photos in your post , and not just the link) So, first of all I would say that finding an online place to host your photos would be the first step. I use Flickr and Photobucket but there are many others to chose from- You need to sign up/register but they are free and you should never need to pay for one. Only issue here is that if you later move or delete photos on that site then they will disappear from this site too. Here are a couple of options to embed photos in a post. I actually just copy and paste the link directly into the body of the post, it's the quickest way. This is how to access that full menu of tabs shown above And here is a screen shot of me grabbing the link from Flickr to drop into my post. I hope this makes sense? If you need any help just drop me a line.

I probably should have looked at this sooner!
I'll try harder next time.

Hi. Could we have a master class on adding photos please? I'm sure Flickr has changed and I cannot get pictures to post from it any more. Hence the best I can do is postage stamp sized ones up-loaded from the computer.
Many thanks in advance.

I have been trying to work out why Pete was having an issue and only just discovered that I was also having an issue. I think they have updated/revamped/buggered up their site? My old MacBook can't go higher than Safari 5.1.10 and I think part of the problem is which browser you use, because when I move to Firefox , it works (after a fashion) I don't know if the snaps below help, as this is on my screen.

Thanks. I'll use that next time. I've been using my work MacBook today, running Chrome although I could use Safari instead (version 7.0.6 (9537.78.2) at the moment).

Just a heads up that I am unable to add photos as attachments, even though well below the 1 MB limit. Error message says " This forum has exceded its attachment limit"

Yes, I think we have posted too many photos, I currently post extra photos I have at "pedalroom.com" and a few others did that too.
Just post a bike, let's say an Aerospace, something like that. Then, link from here to there to show your pictures.

Yes- the forum itself was free to set up and came with a certain storage space for photos. We reached the limit a while back. We can pay for more storage space, delete some old one/or relink them to off site pics elsewhere or do as some of us already do and host them on another site , post or embed link which will have the same effect.
