Hi there Found this bike which I am thinking of restoring but would like to find out what it is My first thoughts are that its either a Medallist or Grand Tour model The Hosteller with Pro Lugs is a Grand Tour I think Frame no. 120229 on BB Started the strip (Is the paint good enough to keep) or sympathetic repaint with which headbadge? 23 inch centre to top seat post and 26.6mm dia (Reynolds 531? possibly not) Bought by previous owner in 65 and was second hand then; he swapped over the steel chainring (don't know if originally 10 speed Freewheel Suntour Perfect 5 speed; Brakes are 1960s weinmann 999 single spring centre pull which I have never seen before Other stuff has been swapped from OME Thanks for the comments in advance 1960s Viking Model???

I'd guess if anyone was remotely likely to know just by looking on here, it would be Velocepete. I had the Hosteller model, which bears some family resemblance, but has some features that rule it out. When researching mine, I came across scanned catalogues/database somewhere, and I can't recall if I downloaded it or just referred to it on the web. I will have a look after work. Here's a couple of pics of mine. It really had some beautiful features, not least the lug work.
