I know it's loud and sacrilegious but the orphan frame has turned into one of my favorites as a single speed. DSCN1126 DSCN1127

Well first my eyes hurt, but then I couldn't stop staring! Very cool and daring.
Hey what's the deal with adding photos (even if not so bright!) ?? It certainly makes posts much more interesting.

That really does make a statement...do you get lots of comments?

That really does make a statement...do you get lots of comments? Yes, it brings a smile from its admirers. My attempt was to make a color scheme that made me smile when I was somewhat uninspired to get out the door and go for a ride. It works! I'd like to say it came from my "artistic/creative" side but the truth is I copied the color scheme from an old pair of Skecher's sneakers

Hello, Michael,
I REALLY like it. Loud and eye-grabbing, and brings a smile to my face, too. Who made those decals? Was the paint a rattle can over the original, a pro job, something in between? Very cool. Thank you
Frank

Hey Frank, Long time no see. Thanks for the kudos! The decals are from velocals.com. You can really go crazy with custom colors. They do give a nice discount when you buy in quantity so I also picked some in the traditional colors for a winter project on my Pro and GP. It'll dress up the more tattered bikes that have lost the original decals. I had a local guy powder coat the frame and fork a few years back. It's getting few spots of rust creeping back so it probably wasn't the greatest job and it'll need some touchup soon.
Cheers, Michael
