I was at a garage sale here in CA as it was closing down for the day when the owners asked if I had any interests in a couple of old bicycles well imagine my surprise once I saw this pair of his & her's Viscount bicycles both were a mens but hers was a smaller frame. the had recently moved into the area & were clearing out the old stuff. I asked how much for both ? bikes the husband said they couldn't sell them so I could have the pair for FREE. So only by appearance I knew these bikes were well made with the lugs & being made in England that was 60 days ago as of yesterday I refurbished the taller of the 2 bikes. Completely disassembly and detailing every portion of the bike from the BB up I found a source for the cobalt blue paint last night & will further detail the frame as well as theres reproduction decals on velocals.com great source I have used them for other projects in the past. So with out further ado I present my VISCOUNT AEROSPACE GRAN SPORTS in all her glory I am having trouble down loading photos of the bike you can see photos at the pedal room

You are one lucky dude! I've got the alternate red color and it is a very solid bike that you will enjoy. Now go play the lottery!

I saw that Jim had posted up your Pedalroom link with photos of them. Here again for those who haven't seen it www.pedalroom.com/bike/1976-viscount-gran-sports-38477That really is a great story and they look magnificent! When we use the phrase 'time machine'...these fit that description perfectly! And with the buyers paperwork? Did they say why they didn't ride them? They'd stored them for 40 odd years ? As Micheal says , you really should go play the lottery! Enjoy them.
