John (theformeremployee) suggested "a rally in North London could include a visit to the place in Potters Bar where the 'rump' of Viscount wound up until it shut the lights off in the early 80s. Good access to the area known as Little Switzerland - small ring, big sprocket territory."
This might cover similar territory to our DFR4.5 in 2016, where we tried to identify the former Viscount factory from post code and Google Streets information. Some photos here: viscountandlambert.boards.net/post/9770

So a first step could be to try to agree a date. Personally, I think my calendar is fairly free in September and October, but not the weekend of 6/7 October as it is midway between my wedding anniversary (1 October) and my birthday. I'm sure my wife would prefer me at home that w/e.
Sundays often offer free car parking if that is an issue. The thread for the previous ride thrashed out a lot of details, which would probably still be valid. And Rob T suggested the possibility of a factory to factory Bilston - Potters Bar ride, much of the way along the Grand Union Canal (which we were near or on on Saturday). Just saying.
As an alternative or addition, I could put forward a SW London ride, starting/finishing at Cusqueno Court in Fulham. Could be just up and around Richmond Park, which is very nice but only about 20km in total, or dig out a longer route taking in the Park. The local Evans has some good routes and there are local clubs we could ask. We are convenient for lots of road and rail connections, but a Sunday (free parking) is probably essential.
P.S. I was brought up in Enfield, not too far from Potters Bar, but can't recall hearing of "Little Switzerland". Perhaps it's a cycling thing, or I was just too far to the east to meet up with it?
