Hi chaps and chapesses Would you give me a little help with the identification with this little number; crank marked 1976 J and Brooks saddle 77B, seat post is a condor 26.4mm dia. Falcon with Prugnat Lugs and Campy DropsBrother was in Oxford area and asked him to pick this up as I wanted the Crane from it; its always of interest to us and our overseas friends Best Regards

Should be red on a white field with a riveted headbadge. Maybe replacement decals? 74 Falcon

Sorry, I can't give any help on date etc. But you can see why Falcon were the 'competition' for Viscount (or vice versa) in the UK at least.

Yes Stripped down to the bones and revealed some nice campy drops front and back Quite light as well Sakae bottom bracket Decals are original (post from Busaste of make lightweight Falcon in Blue) Measured front spacing at 98mm and rear at 120mm Adding a few more photos to the Flickr account Regards
Cleaned up a few more items on this one
Freewheel is a Regina Corsa 78 Italy, SR Apex Royal chainrings, Shimano LB100 shifters, 1978 Normandy Hubs on Rigida 700C rims World tour Michelin tyres; looks like I have another project looming!! Paint is not good so will consider repaint / decal Off to Immingham tomorrow and may drop in in Brigg to get some clarity if I have the time
Any advice on how to clean up rusty spokes? easier than wire wool, wire wool and .....you get the picture

Build Photos Just about finished it, couldn't resist taking a few shots for your enjoyment Verified that its a Falcon Professional model 86 around 76 or 77 (but with mudguard braise on's on drops) Will also buy and fix a "Made in England" decal for the top tube in a discrete , because it was. Best Regards
