Hello Viscountisti, I've been keen to start a DFR or casual meeting of Viscount & Lambert owners in the southern region of New England, specifically in Rhode Island but welcoming all Connecticut and Massachusetts riders as well (perhaps those further afield?). Anyone interested may respond or pm me about getting together sometime between now and the end of October. I have a fellow Viscount rider from Wethersfield, CT on board, btw. Cheers. **UPDATE** Tom Brown who runs the Wethersfield, CT bicycle swapmeet and show has told me the date this year is June 10th which very sadly, I'll not be available for. That said, I did inquire of him about having some of us Viscount owners setting up an informal display and possible ride/parade of sorts on the day. Owning a couple of Viscounts himself, Tom has always been a keen supporter of the brand, even having a deathfork display at the shows. My original plans were to have a tent with a banner and some T-shirts available however Tom will be too busy managing the show to provide any of this so it may turn out to be a collection of GB, AP's, Sebrings, etc. parked on the grass. If any of you southern New England Viscountisti wish to collect during the bike show please reach out to Tom via his fb page: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1647111480 and or his podcast: bikekarma.podbean.com or his Instagram, etc. he'd be most amenable.

Great idea JohnL! Post up when this might be happening. It's a bit of a trip from Long Island but maybe doable on the right weekend. I've been around the Farmington River area near Wethersfield on some fall foliage trips and have read about a nice rail trail in the area. Maybe more centrally located if anyone else is more southern. Would that 2nd rider be Tom B of the death fork radio blog fame? Nice blog on your member profile "Devolution" for others to see. Maybe the start of something DFRish state side!

Thanks triitout, I think it's an idea who's time has come. Yes, that's "Bike Karma' Tom Brown who owns a Viscount single speed and puts up a death fork display at his annual swap meet in Wethersfield. With his contacts we could possibly have the meet in his hometown instead of mine...I'll give him a ring.

Ok I'm in. Are we reinstalling deathforks for this bit of fun?

I love this idea and will be with you guys in spirit all the way from good old Blighty!
I wouldn't make it too complex for the first one. Just pick a location/date/time and ride. Once you have one under your belt you can build on that. GO FOR IT!
Ben, how about organising a DFR in Australia?! It would be amazing to see pictures of something like that, especially a 'posse' of Viscounts mounting a raid on the incredible Australian outback. How cool (okay, pretty hot then) would that be? A picture of your incredible Aerospace Sport posing with a kangaroo would make a helluva photograph.
In fact, how about Viscounts posing in some unexpected situations? Things you would not expect to see? Donald Trump sat on one would be something else...
