Reluctantly, I have made a decision that I should sell the Victor. It is a great bike, but probably not suitable for my main type of riding without making some changes that would take it from its original condition, plus I need the room in my shed and the funds to work on a couple of other projects.
Because of the work I put in on it, including the hours taken getting the old stem out and buying a replacement, and the fact it has two brand new tyres (Continental Super Sport Plus 27 X 1 1/8 at more than £40 the pair) I am asking for £100. It really is in good condition, with no rust at all and only a couple of storage chips in the paint, which I have touched up for protection. The frame size is 22.5" c-t, which is just a bit too big for me. If possible I would prefer not to post because I have had problems with couriers in the past, including one bike completely crushed, but am prepared to talk about this and other options, including meeting to hand the bike over. I live in Cardiff.
If you want any further info please contact me. I would love it to go to someone on this forum who would ride and appreciate it, rather than trying it on eBay or splitting.
Some more details on the bike can be found in my previous thread: viscountandlambert.boards.net/thread/1293/bought-aerospace-victorAnd some more photos on the following link: www.flickr.com/photos/gerryattrick/

Just been for a nice 15 mile ride on the bike to try out the new saddle. I have changed the old white sprung saddle for a similar period leather Lycett L'Avenir saddle and put on black grips to match the mudguards. (The original white saddle and grips will also be included in the sale). I have updated some pics on the flikr link.
The bike is still for sale so please contact me with any sensible offers if you are interested.

Safely home from Cardiff to Solihull - the Blue Victor rode beautifully for the mile home from the railway station! Thanks, Ray.
