We haven't made any campsite bookings for DFR4 yet, just established a date that most of us are free, so if anyone would like to run it at Coniston Water, it's still an option.
Edit - they are no longer taking bookings at the campsite for that weekend.

Do you mean that the proposed DFR4 campsite for 9/10 July is no longer available?

John,
No - don't panic. I have confirmation that camping places are available at Mousely House farm for 9/10 July, and hope to send some booking advice out this weekend on the DFR4 thread. I think we have enough people who have declared themselves available for the Warwickshire DFR gathering that weekend.
I looked on L'Ancienne website and found that they weren't offering campsite places any longer, so that was my post. Sorry for any confusion.
As Scott says, it would be nice to ride round Coniston Water one weekend - perhaps we can have a DFR4.2 in late August/September. DFR North, like Chris Evans' Carfest?
P.S. Some solid riding to work and back is showing up on your Map my Ride log - over 300 miles already this year. Congratulations!

Thanks for clarifying. I hoped that's what you meant. Do you find MapMyRide a bit erratic sometimes? Several times it has shown my westbound homeward journey as an eastbound one. Very strange.

John, Map my Ride has served me very well for the last couple of years, loaded onto an iPhone 4S with 2 hours max unassisted battery life. One the last few months, though, it has crashed part way through a number of rides and only picked up again when I plug in to recharge the phone at home, giving me a dead straight (and very quick) route home from the point where it last logged me. It may be an issue with my phone - I have just acquired another iPhone 4S, on which the app seems to behave itself. I don't think I have ever had it record a route backwards, though. Rob.
